Our HistoryOver twenty years ago, the Sycamore Drum Major Clinic was founded with one idea in mind: prepare students to be leaders in real-life settings. Since 1990, our curriculum has been continually refined to offer students the optimal balance between technical instruction and practice in situations that drum majors will actually experience on the field with their high school bands. Our staff works hard to ensure that every student receives extensive individual and small-group instruction that simply cannot be matched by any other drum major camp in the country. Students leave the Sycamore Drum Major Clinic with a set of skills they can immediately use to lead their bands when they get home.
The Sycamore Drum Major Clinic is staffed by dozens of exceptionally qualified music educators and former drum majors. Each of these individuals uses their unique blend of skills and strengths to help develop students' abilities to lead their fellow band members both musically and logistically. Meet some of our wonderful staff below.
